Etsy Love: LemonsWithAPea

Okay, so my onesies are anything but politically correct and I am JUST fine with that. So much so that I actually look forward to the weekly hate mail I get. Most of it goes something like this, "I can't believe that you expect someone to put their baby in this. It's disgusting! You should be ashamed that you create and sell such inappropriate things." Ooohhh, my skin tingles and I get all warm inside everytime I can write a response.

Anyway, that's one of the reasons that I love LemonsWithAPea so much. Robin's Etsy shop is full of little nuggets of wonderful that my haters would equally hate. I mean, what's not to like? Check out some of her adorable prints and hit her up. You won't regret the fact that in that moment,  you grew a set.

While you are at it, follow her blog. She's one of my favorite MoFos.

Seriously, don't you have people you want to send these to?? My list is growing.

I'm a Sucker for Simplicity

I love type – in all forms. Well, honestly I can't stand Brush Script, but all OTHER forms I'm good with. I also love when type is used in way that makes us think or brings another thought to the forefront.

Check out this amazing grouping of text images by 9gag.com. There's not much more awesome left in the world at this point.

Etsy Love

A fellow shop owner on Etsy, My Selvaged Life is the brain child of designer Heather Torre. She is based out of Bristol, Connecticut and has an eye for all things vintage and beautiful. I'll let you hear directly from her:

"I love to find that vintage component you won't see anywhere else, modern oddities, and then more traditional wire wrapped gemstones using sterling silver wire and chain, and sometimes brass and copper. I mix them with handmade lampworked beads, intricate stampings and vintage glass and lucite beads and pendants from around the globe. Original, sometimes odd, often unexpected, mostly beautiful and always Made With Love!"

I first came across Heather through another favorite of mine on Etsy and recently discovered these amazing butterfly necklaces. I mean, seriously. How darling are these?

I encourage you to visit Heather's shop and stay a while. She's sure to make you swoon.

This is SO Much Better Than a Snickers at the Gas Station

Prior to RedBox, most of us only thought of vending machines for drinks and candy bars. With the entry of gourmet vending, it would appear that virtually anything is accessible. You can purchase Proactiv in your local mall and Apple products in many airports. The vending concept has eliminated the human component, but doesn’t eliminate the need for a brand to have enough integrity to get the consumer to walk up and insert money.

Having thought that I had heard just about everything, enter Sprinkles Bakery. For those of you who are Entourage fans, Sprinkles is a favorite bribery tactic for Jeremy Piven’s character. He’s known to sweet talk women, quite literally, with the gift of a Sprinkles cupcake. Sprinkles is a Beverly Hills bakery who has now brought their goodies to the masses via, you guessed it, a vending machine.
