Etsy Love: LemonsWithAPea

Okay, so my onesies are anything but politically correct and I am JUST fine with that. So much so that I actually look forward to the weekly hate mail I get. Most of it goes something like this, "I can't believe that you expect someone to put their baby in this. It's disgusting! You should be ashamed that you create and sell such inappropriate things." Ooohhh, my skin tingles and I get all warm inside everytime I can write a response.

Anyway, that's one of the reasons that I love LemonsWithAPea so much. Robin's Etsy shop is full of little nuggets of wonderful that my haters would equally hate. I mean, what's not to like? Check out some of her adorable prints and hit her up. You won't regret the fact that in that moment,  you grew a set.

While you are at it, follow her blog. She's one of my favorite MoFos.

Seriously, don't you have people you want to send these to?? My list is growing.

Etsy Love

A fellow shop owner on Etsy, My Selvaged Life is the brain child of designer Heather Torre. She is based out of Bristol, Connecticut and has an eye for all things vintage and beautiful. I'll let you hear directly from her:

"I love to find that vintage component you won't see anywhere else, modern oddities, and then more traditional wire wrapped gemstones using sterling silver wire and chain, and sometimes brass and copper. I mix them with handmade lampworked beads, intricate stampings and vintage glass and lucite beads and pendants from around the globe. Original, sometimes odd, often unexpected, mostly beautiful and always Made With Love!"

I first came across Heather through another favorite of mine on Etsy and recently discovered these amazing butterfly necklaces. I mean, seriously. How darling are these?

I encourage you to visit Heather's shop and stay a while. She's sure to make you swoon.

Etsy Love

Heather Montgomery is doing some really cool stuff in her studio near Cincinnati. She's originally an abstract artist, but has started creating these custom wall pieces of cross cut wood. She hand-paints the rings of the trees so that she reveals the amazing texture and some really cool natural, reclaimed art.

Enjoy, and check her out if you are looking for a gift that has to be unique. I'm fairly certain that your mother-in-law doesn't have these hanging on her wall.

missing Skyline Drive

I've been spending a lot of time on Etsy lately, what, with the launch of my store. I'm always overstimulated by the color and variety that is available on the site, but this week I'm especially noticing all the reds and oranges of fall. Here in Tennessee, we still have colorful leaves, although I know that in Virginia, they are long fallen.

This imagery makes me miss the Skyline Drive.

In honor of my upcoming trip to Paris next week - and the fact that I am as excited about fresh macaroons as I am about shopping, here are some beautiful Etsy prints that pay homage to my food fetish.

Etsy Love...Let's Go Colonels!!

Tomorrow I will celebrate, with the rest of the Class of '91, our 20 year reunion. Never fear, I'm sure there will be PLENTY to share once I'm home from the shindig, but I wanted to dedicate today's Etsy Love to my beloved Colonels - blue and gold. It should be a very interesting weekend.

I Heart...

Harry Potter!

Meet Jess. She is the owner of Literary Luxe, a small online shop that she operates out of Haverhill, Massachusetts. She's the momma to these  brain children - super cute journals that are a blend of sophisticated patterning and quotes from literary characters such as Hermione, Albus, Severus, and, of course, Harry himself.

Etsy Love...

These things that remind me of my beloved Outer Banks, NC. The town that I love was devastated by Irene this weekend so I took a moment to share with you the tones of teals and blues that remind me of that little piece of paradise.

I Heart...

Is it hot where you are? Or are you sitting at your desk dreaming about a sugary afternoon pick-me-up? Indulge, friends. These prints are from the uber-talented Joel Penkman. He paints using egg tempera, which is really a pain in the @ss. He hand grinds all his own paints which is partially why he gets the color he does. That and the fact that the boy's got mad skills.

Check out Joe's Etsy shop and pick up some of the little beauties.
